Quiet and relaxing holiday weekend with excellent sea views. The caravan was large and spacious with plenty of room for 4 adults and one 5 year old boy who was very excited. Mr L, Stockport, Cheshire 09 September 2010
The location is fantastic for those with a dog as you can walk down to the beach easily and there are miles of stoney beach to walk on. Sandy beaches are found within a couple of miles to keep the kids happy too! Mrs C, Shipley, West Yorkshire 11 August 2010
Just got home from the second year in a row at Tarnside. It's a lovely quiet little park no more than about 30 mins from the main peaks of the Lake District, and because it's slightly out of the way - this makes it more attactive price-wise. It's also got a fantastic beach with lots of sand when the tide goes right out - excellent for children and dogs alike. Mr B, ELY 01 August 2010
An excellent park, close to the lakes and right on the beach - ideal for dog owners. We were so impressed we've just booked to go back next year! Mr B, ELY, 05 December 2009
The site is exactly as described. The location is excellent if you're looking for a nice quiet break. Walks along the beach thoroughly recommended. Beach was very stony but plenty flat sand for the dog lovers, when the tide was out from about 10am till about 3pm. Also a railway station right on the site. Mr M, WISHAW, Lanarkshire 29 September 2009

On arrival the staff were helpful and the site looked impressive and well kept. The vans were set out in a manner to make the most of the sea views and the views over the fishing lake. The access to the pebble/sandy beach was easily accessed from a small downhill cutting that led across the railway line by a level crossing.(although probably not suited for wheel chairs etc) We were extremely pleased with our accommodation which included patio doors onto a veranda with sea views. Mr P, MANCHESTER, Lancs 22 September 2009
We had a lovely holiday away from it all, just allowing the kids to play. The caravans were excellent! Miss T, EDINBURGH 04 August 2009
The park is in an idyllic setting, and is central to most areas of the Lake District. Mr S, LIVINGSTON 29 June 2009
The centrally heated caravans are fantastic - well worth the money. Mr F, York, North Yorkshire 07 March 2009
This park is very good, the people are friendly and the site is clean with first class accommodation. This is extremely good if you wish to have a peaceful break away. Mrs H, Spennymoor, Durham 13 June 2008
A lovely caravan, very friendly staff and an ideal stay for a visit to Wastwater. Mrs K, Wokingham, Berkshire 24 March 2008
The park is very good and the new caravans make it feel very clean. We booked literally for the views and being near the beach - we will go again! Mrs H, Malton, North Yorkshire 26 October 2007
A very peaceful and scenic location with the beach almost on the doorstep, lots of places to visit in the area and the accommodation was first class. Mrs S, Stalybridge, Manchester 29 September 2007
